I had the pleasure of working with Bill long-distance on a project, over the span of a couple years. He had brilliant mind, and a kind heart, and I am glad to have known him. I only was able to meet Bill in person one time, when he and his wife were in my area touring prospective colleges for and with their daughter. Very sad to hear.
He pushed so hard for a cure to herpes and if it wasn't for this guy, the potential for a solution to this horrible condition would still be decades away. Hopefully there is a solution coming soon...so thank you Bill Halford - the world has lost an amazingly good person x.
