Dear Nanette: I was very sorry to hear this news about Bill. When I was working as your assistant in the mid-1990s when your office was down the hall from Bill, little did I know then that romance was blooming in the SML collections. And I greatly cherished my experiences learning from Bill in two small classes - just a few students in the Babylonian collection, hearing a fully prepared lecture delivered from a small lectern in a small room surrounded by priceless artifacts, always brilliant....

I am so sorry to hear the sad news about Bill. I know he fought a valiant battle for a number of years with you right there by his side. I do not know how many years the two of you had together, but I do know it was a beautiful friendship and marriage.
