Not sure what to say?

Bill Hammer and family welcomed me into their home as if I were family. I was friends with Jennifer, his first born daughter, since elementary school and they treated me like their own daughter. I will always remember with warmth and fondness the ways they loved and cared for me.

I attended St Matthews and Serra HS with Bill and have many fond memories of our shared experiences. However like many of my other St Matthews/Serra classmates I haven't seen Bill for years. Please share my condolences with his wife and daughter.

I have known Bill since grammar school at St Matthews. I also went to Serra high school, and played football with him as we became WCAL Champions 68-69.

We lived in the same neighborhood ( SunnyBrae ) until we were able to leave home and find our way in life. I consider Bill as one of my closest friends, and had many great times with Bill since our youngest Days.

I will miss him very much. As Bill would say ( GO 9ers)

Leo Lowenstein

I met Bill at Serra High School, when we started in our freshman year. He was a great person and had a wonderful gift of gab. Easy to talk with and anyone he met became an instant friend.

We will miss Bill at our annual class of 70 reunion. He was a loyal and loving son, husband and father.

I was very saddened to hear of his passing and my prayers are with Bill and his loved ones at this very difficult time.

A great guy who will be missed but forever remembered.
