I first remember Bill riding his bike past my house in Beaverton and stopping to chat. Then later in the short bed yellow pick up. He was a staple at local parties and events. A football star, ruggedly handsome, great smile - collar up - shades on -he was the consummate cool guy and larger than life. The parties on Miller Road were infamous. Later on he and Debbie lived near us and Debbie was my hair stylist. She would work on my hair and Bill would crack wise about women. He has been missed...

We were saddened to hear of Bill's passing. Our times at the Tye Valley rodeo's (and I know I spelled it wrong) were pretty crazy..but so memorable ..yes Bill had a great sense of humor...I was always giving him a bad time... but the witty person he was, a comeback was there for me to think..."What?" Our thought's will always be with you Bill. Steve and Sue Ellis.

There is no one who could wear an Ivy League collar "up" the way Billy could and it could be in any color of the rainbow. He could work construction for Cecil and still wear his collar up.. He will always be fondly remembered as a "Good Guy" and "Trouble Maker" all in the same sentence. If you didn't date Billy you wanted to Date Billy.. Debbie is the winner and Im sorry for your loss, I know it was a long battle. I will always remember our great McCallen talks and there were lots of stories!

Bill, We will always remember the good days growing up in the old neighborhood. We had no cares and for the most part we kept our noses clean. My prayers go out to you and your family. You will be missed.

Debbie - Bill and I had lots of adventures in our teens and twenties. I grew up a few streets over from Bill and his family. We played football at BHS and drove together to school frequently. We lived across from each other at UofO and had more fun as a group with Andy Stein and Gil Campbell and other than any freshmen could ever have. Bill and I rescued one of my employees from her snow-bound cabin near Corbett in 1969. We were literally up to our necks in snow getting to that cabin. His dry...

I am sad today hearing my friend Bill is gone. Bill and I had such a good time growing up together. We road our bikes a million miles--'till the wheels fell off. All the trips we took to Cannon Beach with Ruth were great fun. We got wet 10 times a day in the creek and in the surf. Each time we left the house wearing dry clothes, Ruth would say "now don't get all wet; I am not going to do laundry again!" Bill saved my life on one trip to the beach when a wave rolled a log over on me. We...
