William Stephen "Bill" Harris III

Bill was a special guy. He made pictures of an accident my oldest son was involved in 52 years ago. My son has passed away 4 years ago, but the day Bill made the pictures of my sons accident I had an appointment with him to have my picture made and of course did make it to my appointment. I have not lived in Opelika for many years but was able to become friends with him on Facebook. He was a very nice man to me and my family all those years ago. Bill was my friend from my senior year of high school when I came to Scott. He didn't play sports, but he was everyone's friend. Ms. Helen let him move in with me after he began Auburn with the promise, I would make him study. I don't know if I did too good of a job of that. He was always tuned in to his CB radio listening for wrecks to go take pictures. That was probably the start of his lifelong interest and career.
