I served in Vinh Long with Dr Harris 1967-68. He was always friendly to the enlisted troops and taught them while doing surgery or making rounds. My he rest in peace. James (Jim) R Marsh (USAF Sgt at that time).

I have been thinking about Dr Harris and just looked up his name. What a wonderful man he was. Always there when I needed him as my doctor. I moved here and he was recommended by a lady who had 9 children. I said do u think he is good, she said well everyone of my kids and I went to him...so he became my family's doctor. Always took his time and spoke with me. Being from Philadelphia, I would speak to my friends and refer to him as an old fashioned Farmer doctor..I sure wish Dr Harris was...

Bill and I were classmates and friends at the Bowman Gray School of Medicine of Wake Forest. We maintained contact following graduation in 1965 and I will miss his gentle jibes and devotion to the Eagles and Phillies. Bates Noble, MD

I can't believe Doc Harris is gone, knowing he was around always made you feel alittle less sick and he would fix you right up,always knew your problem ,he never rushed your visit if you needed him a little longer. Life was so less complicated, You didn't need a appointment, he gave you your meds, and always got back to you if needed, made house calls too. We moved to Mullica Hill in 1968 so I knew his father as well ,he would follow in his father's footsteps once he returned from the...

Our sincere condolences to Dr Harris´s family.. we missed him when he closed his practice.. He was a no nonsense.. down to earth.. caring Dr.. don´t make them like Dr Harris...R.I.P.Dr..

Mom and Dad myself and my children all visited Doc as I always called him from 1969 . A great person and doctor.

His father and him were the first urgent care, great guy! So sorry to hear of his passing
