William Reid "Bill" Harshbarger

Bill & Karen were among my first friends in Oregon, after moving here from the Midwest in the late 70's. I've so enjoyed seeing them again in the recent years since they resettled in Manzanita, and stand in awe of the beautiful chapters of life they've created together.
My heart is with all the family and friends who are also profoundly missing this wonderful human being, recalling his signature presence and important contributions as devoted husband, father, scientist, community...

Bill was my first boss at Intel. I always thought of him as kind, generous, empathetic and was very grateful for his mentoring me as I started my career. I would like to think that he had an influence on me as I changed careers and now am a Climate Change Warrior working on CO2 Capture technology
