I also never got to meet you, but your legacy is strong in our community. I recently attended an event in your honor and everyone who spoke did so with reverence and love.

10 years later Bill, you are still in our thoughts.

For those who knew you.

I never had a chance to meet you in person, Bill. I have become familiar with you and your ways through your friends, your logs, your geocaches, your friends' tales of your caches and about every other way a person can get to know someone great. The adventures you've already given me : breathtaking! I can honestly say that 2 of my proudest moments were on your caches. In fact, I recently had an adventure at a stage of one of your fantastic caches that was mind-bending. But you know that, you...

You are still missed by your geocaching family. Your influence on those who knew you remains strong. Your integrity is a benchmark for many of us.

I remember: biking with Bill around the Lafayette reservoir and the Lamorinda area; hanging out at Hartshorm manor and exploring the fifth dimension of the newest album; or just enjoying Bill's great sense of humor. You are missed but not forgotten.

Dear Bill, the whole family misses you so much. You will never be forgotten. We will always love you. Rest in peace. Love your sister Jen.

TO SOME HE WAS HARTMAN

To some he was Hartman,
Trailpuppy or Bilbo

Others knew him as the White Horse;
The neigh imitation and hair that of snow.

Nimble and agile
In both foot and in mind,

He waltzed through his life
Being gentle and kind

His laugh would 'a burst
Upon prank to complete

Sometimes so hard,
He'd fall from his seat

Spirit never mean
Or brag a desire

We knew Bill as Trailpuppy. He came to a couple of our events that we held in Lake County and found a whole lot of our hidden caches too. It was a pleasure to have met him and reading his logs about our caches. We are very sorry for your loss. He will truely be missed by us.
