Not sure what to say?

I had just reconnected with Bill last year. My condolences to the whole family. Bill was truly a savvy pitcher. I caught him from little league through high school. What he lacked in speed on his fastball he made up with his pinpoint accuracy. I caught a no hitter that he threw and Bill graciously gave me the game ball because he said I game him such a good target! That is who he was, always generous and thinking of others.

Dear Polly and family, My heart felt condolences on the loss of Bill. I sat next to Bill at HBS and, like everyone, benefited greatly by his wisdom and his ability to keep perspective. He had so many talents, but most of all he was an AWESOME person who truly cared about his friends, family and community. We will miss him in our hearts. With all our love, John Wanvig

Dear Polly and Family, Sandi and I have nothing but wonderful memories of Bill. From your hospitality as we became newlywed neighbors in Back Bay our second year at HBS to engaging with him on various ventures it was always a delight. We were so sad to hear he has passed from Neil. Thinking of you, Tom & Sandi Schreier

To all the Haylons, I am so sorry for you loss. Billie was beloved by my parents especially my father. My deepest condolences. Love, Kate Beers

We will treasure the memory of Hayles and the amazing life he led--such a force of positive strength. He will be so missed. Our deepest sympathies to the entire Haylon Family. With love, Gil & Jodi Schellenger

Mike, Please accept my deepest condolences on the loss of your brother. Jeannine Phillips formerly of Pheonix Life Insurance Company

Learning of Bill's untimely passing saddens me greatly. He was a good friend at Williams, and we recently reconnected when he asked me to read and review The College Shrink. He was a man of many talents and clearly meant so much to so many. My deepest condolences to his family. May God bless you all.
