William Daniel Hayman Jr.

William Daniel Hayman, Jr., 78, passed away on August 29, 2012. William is survived by his adoring wife, Peggy Dunlo Hayman to whom he was married 58 years. Also survived by his loving daughter, Dawn Hayman Curl and her husband Thomas E. Curl of Chesapeake, VA; two grandsons, Christopher Paul Curl of Austin, TX and Shaun Michael Curl of Chesapeake, VA. He passed away at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of the late Maybelle Ferrell Burke and the late William Daniel Hayman, Sr. He retired from Luden's Incorporated after twenty-three years and was also involved with his father's businesses: Hayman's Confectionery and Hayman's Sport Shop until 1973. He attended South Norfolk High School, the Medical College of Virginia and William and Mary, Norfolk Division. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and devoted to his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society and to Great Bridge Presbyterian Church on Cedar Rd. The family will forever be grateful to Dr. Valiant Tan and staff and the ladies from Hospice, Jean and Vicky, who went far beyond their jobs to provide comfort to Bill and his family. It was Bill's request that there be no memorial service and interment will be private.
