William W. Heard

I was lucky to have served with Bill at McGuire AFB he was a good friend and fine musician.

Very sorry to learn of Bill's passing. I knew him from my short stint in the McGuire 730th AF Band in 1959-60. Bill was a heckuva nice guy.

Please allow me to express my deepest sympathy. Mr. Heard was a good man and he will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

For all too short a time, Bill was my friend and mentor. I too served with him in the 730th Air Force Band. He readily agreed to be in my wedding party when I was married back in 1962. He played a mean tuba and string bass. I'm a much better person for his presence in my life. I've thought of him often and I'll miss him.

May the good lord bless and comfort his family.
I knew Bill while serving in the 730th Air Force Band.He was the kind of person you would want to know and be with.

My deapest sympathy to the Heard family at this time. I will always remember my relationship with Bill as my First Sargent in the 730th Air Force Band. We enjoyed our music making even out of the service and with our personal relationship in civilian life. He left a wonderful family here on earth. God Bless Bill
