Not sure what to say?

Thinking of you and the so many days we missed having the chance to know each other better...r.i.p. daddy...you cross my mind many days, but now, especially today on my birthday, it's been forever changed. Always a place in my heart.

I was just going through some poems I wrote to Billy in 1970. Was cocktail waitress where he performed and often sang with his band. Billy introduced me to horses and we'd ride in AM after work. Also, loved riding on motorcycle too. We lost touch in 1971 when I began singing w/guitar in different venues. I'm so glad to have found this post on Legacy.

Hey Dad, I've been thinking about you a whole lot recently, more then normally, I just wanted to say so much has happened since I last wrote. COVID came and scooped up everyone I was close to, or they just couldn't hang on any longer from heart break or other illnesses. It set me into a very deep depression but I'm coming around and just wanted to say I miss you and have always loved you. I know most of the Heed's are all together now and probably cracking up as always. A great fun group. I...

Billy was an old friend, we lost touch when I moved to Texas. He always treated me like royalty at The Riverside where I was somewhat of a permanent fixture. Lots of memorable moments but the best was when he introduced me to Tammy Wynette, who I was a big fan of, while sitting across from her in Don´s restaurant.

Well Dad - another year is rapidly approaching since you passed. I have no additional words but I miss you being on this Earth and my chance to know you and that my birthday is now forever changed and it now is not only a birthday but in some strange way a "memorial" in my heart for you..... continue to r. i. paradise - Love always - your daughter Susan

Thinking of you Dad...missing both of my dads today, tomorrow and forever...there's such a hole in my heart that just won't heal, especially as this time of year comes around..jam to some awesome music with all our loved ones and celebrate my birthday and your life tomorrow. Just missing you and my pop's, my brother and all the Heed family we have seen leave this dimension. ...r.i.paradise dad.

Sitting here at work and thinking how much of a cool guy/father Billy was. I met his family in Laughlin. His son Alex and I hit it off immediately, I feel liked Billy and Leza loved me as I was one of their own and treated me no different. My greatest memory will be his amazing smile, chicken caesar salad and most of all his Iconic wave / Low and to the side.

im just going through a box of family ornaments that my mom gave me to decorate my tree. Grandma Dot always got us ones with our names and dates on them. I wish you were here to help put them up with us. Love you pops
