Not sure what to say?

William was a soldier's soldier. We were Drill Sergeants together at Fort Knox in the very early 80s. A true professional, he always worked diligently to turn out highly competent and motivated tankers. William was a fantastic mentor for young soldiers and a true friend to everyone he worked with. All of us at A-3-1 respected him and relied on him for guidance and help. My sincerest and heartfelt condolences to the entire Heemsoth family. I only wish that I could have contacted him before his...

SGM Heemsoth was my very first 1SG (HHC 3/35) in 1990 and what an example he set. Condolences to the family.

My prayers go out to the family and loved ones. You will always be missed by many, for your service as a veteran and husband, father and friend. The Metro Airport Authority lost a great asset and family member. You are gone but not forgotten. Thank you for your service and dedication to this country and the many that depended on you. My friend. ADC(AW)Hardini Carter (USN Retired)

Mrs. Heemsoth my prayers are with you and your family, whom he loved so much.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. Bill was a wonderful co-worker and friend. He was always a good listener if you needed to talk and his sense of humor would brighten our days. He shared many stories of his service to our country, how proud he was of his children, and his life adventures. He will be sadly missed
