Not sure what to say?

When we are in Vermont Bill´s presence is always felt. Every super windy day I picture him out riding the waves, every calm day I think of him as I kayak in the wonderful blue kayak he gave me. My camp is graced with his artwork. He is forever in our hearts. Carol and Bill were the best neighbors and friends at the lake.

Even now, hardly a day goes by that something I see or hear doesn't bring back great memories of Bill . Horseshoes of course, but so many other adventures and a friendship that stays with you throughout all time.

My prayers to the family of Bill. I knew him from the Health factory when it was open in Colchester. He was a happy go lucky guy. He will be missed!

Bill was so laid back, friendly, and warm....I always felt comfortable when I was around him, or when I talked to him... what a guy!! You will be extremely missed Bill... my thoughts and prayers go out to Carol and the entire family, and friends.

I miss you Bill. You were there for me when I needed it most and for that I am eternally gratefull. Thanks to you and Carol for the wonderfull years in the metal shop and for your genuine friendship. I hope the wind is blowing!

Dear Carol-Don & Bev- So sorry--after over 50 years of horseshoes( The Monthly Pit) water skiing -my attempts at down hill-metal scrounging and so much more, it just doesn't seem possible that he's not with us. Bob Parrish

Bill has been out of the Mad River Valley for some years but made a lasting impression with his warmth, humor and, of course, his art. This morning, truthfully, a lady came in who asked if I had a biography of the artist who created the metal sculptures she'd purchased some years ago. She delighted in describing the four wonderful pieces she had collected over the years and wanted a biography of the artist. She was sad to hear of Bill's passing.

We will miss Bill's humor and friendships.

His friends from Burlington Bay

To Carol, Don, Bev & family...I am so sorry for your loss. I bumped into Bill often and I always found him to be so warm and engaging. I happened to see him on Church St. last year and he told me, very stoically and philosophically, that he was sick. I feel very fortunate to have known Bill and I extend my condolences to all of you. His warmth and creativity will be missed.
