We just found out about the passing of this great man! We are so grateful for his kindness and compassion - when Paul was offered a chance to go fishing and wanted his father to accompany the group - No problem - it was like two peas in a pod. It was one of the last great memories they shared.
God bless and thank you for many great times together.

We were in the Turks & Caicos until May 16, so we didn't hear the sad news until we came home. We dearly loved Bill and will always remember his warmth, great sense of humor, and generosity. We have truly lost a dear friend. Our hearts and prayers go out to you, Mary Lou, and the rest of the family.
Much love,
Don, Betty, and Kit O'Toole

Bill was a Great Guy in addition to being a Great Fisherman. I never understood how he could catch fish on one side of a boat and I couldn't catch any on the other side of the same boat.

Bill was a great, wise friend whose company and advice was, is and always will be treasured.
As the "World's Greatest Fisherman" he demonstrated how that great sport can be enjoyed for all of ones life.
His wife Mary Lou is an angel who always supported and looked after Bill. We miss him but are so lucky to have known him.

Our sincere condolences for the passing of a truly great friend and neighbor with whom we enjoyed many memorable times, especially a barge trip on the Burgundy Canal in France. Our deepest sympathy to Mary-Louise.
