Not sure what to say?

Dear Mary, Emily and John, My heart is heavy for your loss. Like the rest of the family, Bill was of great character and a fine example to all. We enjoyed the Henrich family as neighbors. When John was sick, Bill came over and cut our grass. The Henrich kindness will always be well remembered.

I just read this and to say I am shocked is an understatement. Dr. Henrich was my boss for many years (1979-86) when we both worked at the Dallas VA Medical Center in the Renal Section. Spent several evenings at his home for the many parties he and Mary would have. Dr. Henrich was a man with a big heart. He will be sorely missed as a great leader and mentor. His warmth touched many people, big and small. My condolences to the Henrich family. Dr. Henrich was a wonderful leader at UTHSCSA. As former director of the dental hygiene program, I was blessed to shake his hand many times at graduation. I always loved the way he spoke. He will be dearly missed by many. He leaves a long legacy and shoes way too big to fill. May the perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace.

Bill stretched the human capacity for living in thought and action. A national persona, hundreds of honors and lifetime of scientific/social achievements are a remarkable historic legacy, yet can´t begin to realize his rare humanity, how special Bill was one-on-one with friends, family, colleagues, students, patients of every stripe. His was a never-ending quest, a benign and personal crusade to understand, relate to, empower and improve countless lives. I´m not just saddened by Bill´s...

Appreciative staff from the South Texas Geriatric Education Center sincerely thank Dr. Henrich for always being a great supporter of our, and others, community aging care and education missions. RIP Good Sir. Here is one humble example from Oct 2018:
