Chick was a good friend. Meet him in Memphis when he came to the VA Hospital with my Uncle Fred Murphree. For years he made that trip with Fred. He was a great friend to Fred. Chick was fun to be around. He was always joking around, telling his stories, he was fun to be around. He will be missed.

So sorry. Chick was a good friend for many years. He was a second Father for so many Children in Bruce during his time as Chief of Police. So respected by the ones that knew him. RIP my Friend. Larry and Mam Collins.

Chick was very encouraging when I was thinking of joining the Navy. He was so proud when I joined and knowing he had a little part in it. He will be greatly missed. Rest easy Shipmate, we have the watch now!

Chick was such a good Friend to my Brother Fred Murphree he would come with Fred yo here to the VA Hospital, they came by my house In Memphis we would go to the Krystal and eat before they went home . he was a great person to my family we will miss him so much Rest in Peace Chick.

Chick was a good man who contributed so much to our community. He will be long remembered . Penny and the family are in my prayers.

Chief Chick was a friend and upstanding citizen who loved and supported our town of Bruce. God blessed him with a good life and I've missed seeing him lately and will continue to miss him daily. My condolences to all the family.
