Not sure what to say?

Those of us who knew Bill through the classics book group will always mourn his absence. His insights were thoughtful and he was a delightful companion. Caring thoughts to Bernie!

My cousins Tracy,David and Alisa my deepest sympathy and condolences to all of you and the rest of the family with this passing of your Father. I remember when my Mother Merry was in the hospital and we spent time together, happy times. I wish that we could of attended the memorial to meet again. Take Care, Cindy(Palicz)Fusinski

My best cousin Bill III and I grew up together in Dearborn, MI by the Dearborn Golf Course. Reminiscing: Bill tared and feather me, tied me up in the woods once because I called him names, another time he pushed me and I fell down a fireplace hole and landed in a bathtub of straw, he was thinking ahead. We enjoyed numerous Sundays during the summer at Grandpa Heston's farmhouse in Willis, MI. Once at the farm Grandpa Heston had butchered a pig and the pig's bladder was on the ground. Bill III...

I am a cousin to Bill, Merry Heston Paliczs daughter. I just read this one line and am very sad to hear of his passing. If we would of known we would of attended. My mom told us many stories of their summers together at their grandmothers home in Willis. Our condolences. Jan palicz Langton

My condolences to Bill's family....and a special remembrance to Amanda, my former student, and her mother.

Dr. Heston was my doctor after a serious back injury many years ago. He was a great doctor and a very kind and caring man. Even though I hadn't talked with him in over 30+ years, I was saddened to learn he had passed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones. RIP Dr. Heston. You made a difference.

To the Heston family I worked on the Orthopedic Unit at St. Joseph for many years as the clerk. Dr. Heston was always kind and pleasent to work with. My thoughts and prayers go out to you all. He will be missed by many.

To Bernie and the Heston family,
We met Bill several years ago thru the Nowland family and enjoyed many memorable football tailgates at Michigan stadium.
Bill's wonderful demeanor and sense of humor was always the highlight at these events.
Judi and I send our heartfelt condolences to you and we know you have such wonderful memories of Bill's rich and full life.

Bill and Bernie with one of Bill's trees at the 2012 Bonsai Show

I had the privilege of knowing Bill through the Ann Arbor Bonsai Society. He was a fine person, and in addition to his many other abilities, a talented bonsai artist. Several of his trees are in the collection at Matthaei. His wisdom, generosity, and sense of humor will be missed by everyone in the local bonsai community.
