I worked with Bill for many years at Delta College and always found him to be bright about many more issues than his training in accounting would suggest. He was possessed with an active and engaged mind and he successfully communicated that to students. He will be missed by all who knew him

Mr. Hieber changed the direction of my life forever when I took a required Introduction to Accounting course from him back in the mid-1970's at Delta College. I was then in the Medical Assistant curriculum, but switched to Accounting immediately after having completed the class under Bill's tutelage. I went on to obtain an Associate's degree in Accounting from Delta, a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy from Ferris State College, and ultimately a Master's Degree in Information Systems...
