Not sure what to say?

Dennis:

I recently learned about your father's passing, and I want to express my sincere and heartfelt condolences to you and the extended Higgins family. From reading his tribute, he was a truly remarkable man.

My father passed away last year, and a friend of mine, who had lost his own father not long before, said some comforting words to me.

And so I say the same to you: "Your father will watch over you from heaven, just as my father watches over me."

My condolences to the Higgins family. It was nice to see Bill about a year ago at one of our Cap football gatherings. Remembering Bill as one of the very nice guys on that Capital U football roster. Gods blessing to the family.
Jon Altonen.

Our sincere condolences on the passing of Uncle Bill... Brian, Erin, Patrick and Dennis.. I know that it is so hard for you to lose both of your parents so close together.. But Bill and Jane really were so close that I think that Bill died of a broken heart. I am so sorry that we were not able to get to your dad's funeral. We are very sorry for your loss. Love to all.

I was saddened to hear of the passing of Bill Higgins. My condolences go to the children of Bill and Jane (Brian, Dennis, Patrick and Erin).
I was a grade school classmate of Jane. I enjoyed meeting and talking to Bill on the 2002 Shamrock Club
Bus trip to New York. We shared being
"fans of Notre Dame football"
May he rejoin Jane as they "Rest in Peace" in Heaven.

Dennis and Family,
Deepest sympathies and our thoughts are with you.

Bill and Jane have one up on us now. They know the secret. The secret of Heaven... We are left to miss them and to remember them and all their funny and good and caring ways .. and to marvel at their unwavering faith and generosity and sense of right ... and remember the great fun they had and their beautiful faces and all the good and funny things they did and said ... We are left here to miss them and to believe in God's promise that we will see them again....
... Bill is...

I love the Higgins family with all my heart, sorry for the loss. He was a very Great man. May he rest peacefully with his wife and my grandma.

My condolences to The Higgins family, I remember Mr. Higgins well. We the Bishop Hartley High School "Class of 65" may have had some of the best Lay & Secular Teachers of our time and Mr. Higgins was on that List. I was unaware of Mr. Higgins Military background and now in retrospect that explains a lot about the way he Taught and Coached – “…he never let you make excuses…”
