Hinde, William R. age 70, of Mound, passed away Nov. 29, 2008, after a brief battle with cancer. Born in Lake City, IA, on June 3, 1938. Preceded in death by his parents, Joyce and Clarence Hinde. Survived by his devoted wife of 38 years, Sharon; loving daughters, Theresa (Gyula) Czinano, Janel Hinde, Stacy (Jason) Roitenberg; treasured granddaughters, Monika, Maggie, Mallory, Alea, Hallie and Ava; siblings, Carol (Leroy) Schecher, Doug (Lois) Hinde and Linda (Jack) Drury Hinde. After serving four years in the Navy, Bill went on to graduate from Buena Vista College in Storm Lake, IA. Bill loved fishing on Little Pine Lake, a part of the Whitefish Chain, with his daughters and granddaughters. Funeral service Tuesday, Dec. 2 at 12:00 PM (NOON) at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 2385 Commerce Blvd., Mound. Visitation 5-7 PM Monday at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church and one hour prior to service. Interment at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Cemetery. Dear Sharon, My sympathy to you in the loss of your husband Bill. I have great memories of Bill when he was a NAPA rep in the l960's and l970's. I can's ever remember seeing him without a smile. One memory that always makes me smile was at a NAPA convention in Las Vegas. Bill was playing a slot machine next to me at the airport and Bill hit a jackpot and yelled for you, saying MAMA, MAMA come and look at this!! You'd have thought he won a million dollars. His enthusiasum made everyone...
