Not sure what to say?

Julia..I just saw this as I was looking for Howells for ancestry as they are some part of my husband's family..robert hall..who grew up in Eastern Ohio near west wheeling. Anyway I wanted to give my condolences to you. You and Bill were such a treat to me growing up next door on Franklin Street.. I spent many happy days in your home. Thank you. You were both so loving and showed me so much fun and love. Such wonderful people. Thank you to you and your beloved husband. Such a kind man.

My condolences to Mrs. Hobart and the family. I remember you folks well from my time at The Miami Valley School.

An honor to have known William and his family. They made us feel part of Troy when we relocated in 1990. So many wonderful memories of him coming into the bookstore. He always asked about our outdoor adventures and loved to hear about our hikes in Colorado, Portland and Seattle... but was very happy we made Troy our home.

Bill was a remarkable man, a leader in many ways. His influence and direction at Hobart Bros. was respected by everyone in the welding industry and all who knew him.

William & his beloved wife, Julia, have been a priceless blessing for many years to our Troy community. He will be deeply missed but will live on in our hearts and minds. Our heartfelt sympathy to Julia & family.

What great memories I have of the Hobart family, and, additionally, Mr. Hobart. He has meant so much to The Miami Valley School and its teachers.

I remember well his smile and laugh.

A beautiful tribute to such a wonderful man who lived a blessed life, and gave so much to others. I was pleasantly surprised to cross paths with him a few years ago while on a vacation near Wickenburg, AZ, and he remembered my mother, Goldie Sheley, and reminisced about the beginnings of The Overfield Tavern nusery school. Sending heartfelt condolences to Julia and family.

I will always remember William Hobart as the CEO I met with after being hired by Bill Howell in 1972.
I had been selling Hobart products for a Distributor in Suburban maryland, and was approached by Russ Demar - Mgr. of Distributor Sales, to join Hobart Bros. Co. as a District Mgr.
Within 2yrs., Bill Howell asked me to go to Buffalo N.Y. to Mg. the facility they had recently aquired.
The rest is history - to Troy as Product Mgr. and frequent contact w/Bill Hobart; always the...
