Not sure what to say?

A good person

I will miss you Bill. You were an interesting conversationalist while we discussed media and politics. Meeting you was an absolute pleasure that I'll never forget.

As a very young, new staffer in the Carlin Administration I was enthusiastic but naive and inexperienced. I found a number of mentors in that office who shaped my view of government service and policy analsyis, and Bill was definitely one of those. I looked up to him and respected him. Working in the Governor's office around such bright and capable people was such a wonderful and amazing experience for me. I will echo Pat Hurley's words, "I will recall only good memories"

As Luc's art instructor, I remember the thoughtful and insiteful conversations with his father. Mr. Hoch deeply loved, understood and knew the depths of his son's heart. My prayers are with Luc and his loved ones.

We have lost a great friend far too early. I will recall only good memories of the countless joyful days I worked with Bill on so many matters.
Rest in peace.

I will always remember Bill's eloquence, style, wit, impeccable taste, sage advice and willingness to help me break into the news business. I always trusted his guidance. He is missed.

We have known Bill and the Hoch family since Kindergarten. Words cannot express the sadness of this loss. Luc, Bill's wonderful son, has our blessings as well as those from many, many others Bill has tapped during his 63 years. Bill was a dear friend and will be greatly missed by many.

I have very fond memories of playing with Bill and my brothers in the hayloft of the Hoch family dairy.
Although I lost track of Bill as we matured, the memories of him and his parents still linger.

Am truly shocked and saddened to learn of Bill's passing. A great friend for many years, I've missed his company for the last few years. Bill was a gracious and valued friend. John Neff
