My deepest sympathy and condolences to Mrs. Hogan and the Hogan family on the passing of Dr. Hogan. I went to Emory with your son and thought the world of him. I did not know of Bill, Jr.´s death until much later. I am so sorry I did not reach out to you at that time. They were both clearly a lot alike - both great men. Again, I am so sorry for your loss.

I am a physician in Thomasville and knew Bill for many years. Bill was a skilled and compassionate doctor. I sometimes would call him for advice about management of acute lacerations and other emergencies. He was helpful even in the middle of the night and was never arrogant or intimidating. He accepted patients even if it was clear they could not pay for services. He was wonderful to work with and was widely respected among doctors, nurses, and most importantly, his patients. A life...

I have so many happy memories shared with you and Bill,especially at Melrose---tennis,horses,beautiful orchid house and just walking and talking.
