William Holzapfel

I was lucky to be hired by Bill as a law clerk after my 1L year when he was a solo practitioner in Elizabeth. I stayed with him for the next four years. He was a great mentor and a great person.

Bill was a lovely human being, always interested in others. Quick to laugh and helpful to all.

Bill will be missed by me and I believe many others. In 1988, I was working in New Hampshire and was offered a job as a utility lawyer in NJ. At that time I had the opportunity to talk to and get advice from Bill about NJ public utility law practice. Once I arrived he continued to be someone I could talk to about utility practice an other matter.

I´ve known Bill through his great work with the Public Utility Law section of the NJSBA. A true gentleman and great attorney. He will be remembered and missed.

I am so sorry for your loss . My first legal job was as a law clerk in his firm in Cranford. When I called him over the years to get his take on a legal issue he was always generous with his time and wisdom.
