Not sure what to say?

I don't know why I decided to 'look up' Bill Howard this morning, but for some reason I did and was saddened to discover this. I went to school with Bill, jumped out of airplanes with him, painted houses in Concord with him one summer, and considered him to be a good friend. After college, we all went our separate ways, for better or worse, and failed to stay in touch. I well remember Stan and Breeze, his mother and dad, as well as younger brother Eliot. Though I didn't 'know' Bill after...

Bill, you will always be sky high in my book. It was an honor to know and teach with you. - Chuck R.

Bill Howard, you will be dearly missed but we know you will be watching over your boys. Thank you for raising two great sons. I'm sure you're in heaven eating some raspberry jam.

I'm so sorry to hear of Bill's passing. Sending all of you prayers strength and love at this difficult time.

Patty: While I don't think we have spoken since our days working together at the old Hale and Dorr, I recognized Bill's obituary at once in today's Boston Globe, and I wish to send along my sincere condolences immediately to you, Tucker and Kyle. I hope and trust that your myriad happy memories will carry you and your sons through the upcoming days. Meanwhile, I shall say a prayer for peace for each of you.
Sincerely, Michael Fay

"What a wonderful fishing buddy. We're going to miss seeing Bill in his yellow kayak and the animated fishing stories we shared on the water through the years. We'll always remember his cheerful personality and winning smile. May God bless Bill and his family, Your fishing pals Phil and Asa

Tucker and Kyle - I am so saddened to hear these news. I am thinking of both of you at this time. A big hug to you both - you have made your father very proud! Pedro Carrasquillo, Wellesley, MA

As a neighbor and friend of Bill's, I enjoyed our many conversations and shared our love of Maine. He will be missed both personally and by members of our community.

What a huge loss for all who loved him. My studio was upstairs from his woodshop in Boston, and we became close friends over the years. My late husband Mayer and I loved spending time with Bill and his family. although we had lost touch since he moved, we still thought the world of him and especially I missed our long chats in the woodshop, and will miss him now in his passing. My love to Patty and the boys and my sympathies for your huge loss...Bill was a kind and generous soul.
