HUBBARD, William Edward Jr., died May 6, 2011. He was born on March 1, 1949 to the late William Sr. and Lillie Chavis Hubbard. He graduated from Maggie Walker High School in Richmond and Duke University in Durham, N.C. In 1978, he married Elsie Bowers and to this union three children were born, William E. Hubbard III of Mannheim, Germany, Marcus C. Hubbard (Melanie) of Midlothian and Kimberly M. Hubbard of Los Angeles, Calif. He leaves three sisters, Betty Thombs (John) of Richmond, Marsha Jones (Greg) of Fairfax and Lisa Edwards of Baltimore, Md.; two brothers, Charles Hubbard (Marcia) of Richmond and James Hubbard (Gracie) of Chesterfield; grandson, Ian Hubbard of Toano, Va.; mother-in-law, Mary L. Bowers of Fredericksburg; uncle, David Jones (Brenda) of Sandston; and a host of in-laws, relatives and friends. No public viewing. Services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, May 15, at Browns Funeral Service, Lawrenceville, Va. Interment private.
