I met Bill at the Alabama Woodturners Association. He attended regularly and usually showed his new works, often large impressive and beautiful wood-turned art pieces. He told me he greatly valued the friends he found at the woodturners club, and he was a dependable supporter. I feel lucky I got to know him as a friend and was able to visit and turn wood with him in his shop.

I spend a delightful afternoon with Bill on a tour of the Biodiversity Center. I am so blessed that I was able to meet him. He has given Bibb County and Alabama a wonderful gift in the Center.
