Matthew and I just heard about Bill's passing yesterday. We loved hearing Bill's stories about trains and his hunting adventures. We spent hours talking and laughing with him. We still feel very close to Russ and Jeremy, Darlene, and the kids. Matt and I don't get the newspaper, so we never found out. We would have been at the services. We lost my dad almost two years ago at 94 yrs old. It doesn't really get any easier to deal with, but, like us, you will have the happiest memories thinking...

The Schaper family would like you to know that although unable to attend Bill's funeral because of the pandemic, they feel your loss and extend their heartfelt sympathies.
Neil said he really enjoyed talking to Bill at the family reunions and felt that Bill was the "best of the family".
