Not sure what to say?

After Bill's wife, Joan, passed suddenly we found out that Joan had purchased some wallpaper for their bedroom. She never had a chance to hang it, so a bunch of "youngsters" at the Wisconsin Gas Company decided to have a wallpaper hanging day for Bill. Several people brought in different versions of their favorite chili recipe and we really enjoyed making Joan's wish come true and sharing a meal. Bill was a remarkable and kind human being. He gave so much to all of us. It was wonderful...

Thank you all for your your kind words and remembrances of Dad. He loved you all and will be missed by us all.

We just learned of Bill's death up here in the northwoods. I worked with Bill @ MGL Co. and afterward he helped my new employer and me get our new building plans thru the Glendale coumcil. He usually placed his election signs on my employers' lawn @ greentree and the crtoss st. north of Nicolet. That is how we stayed in touch. He also was an invitee to the Gas Co. sales Dept. Christmas lunches but we noticed he nissed last years. I always appreciated his humor even amidst some chaotic...

Bill will be greatly missed as a friend, Co-Worker and Fraternal Brother. His contributions to the community exhibited his love for all people. May God Bless the family. Oscar & Jennice Bates, Atoka, Tennessee

We were very sorry to hear of Bill's death. His service to the community and neighborhood as well as his sharp wit will be missed by all.
Our sympathy,

I'll always remember the day Bill showed up at Wisconsin Gas without a bow tie - the only time I recall him being without one. I fashioned one for him out of a potato chip bag. I can still recall his chuckle as he put it on. His laugh and his Donald Duck voice still ring in my ears. God bless you, Bill.

Dear Janet:

I met Bill for the first time after returning to Glendale from a long stay in San Diego. It took only 10 minutes to realise that I missed out on having Bill as a friend for all of the years I had lived in Glendale before moving to California. He became a cherished member of our COFFEE GROUP at the BAYSHORE MALL every morning at 9AM. His HUMOR and INTELLECT was a welcome addition to all of the group who meet there.
We will miss him a great deal.

GOD...

Bill spent lunch hours tutoring me in Algebra when I went back to college while I worked in the Engineering Department at Wisconsin Gas. I have never forgotten his kindness or his friendship. He was truly a special man and I hope his family is comforted by the thoughts and prayers of people who knew and loved him.

Bow Tie Bill was my mentor as an engineer at the gas company. I can still hear his ready laughter and still see the look he would give me when I would use a calculator to do math (which he always did in his head). What a great man.
