Not sure what to say?

Sue, I just saw this about Bill. My father Greg Pierce Served with him at Air Station Detroit. I have many fond memories of our families getting together and hanging out. My dad tells some funny stories about Bill and still tells stories about some of the flights and rescue missions they were on together. I hope all is well with the family. Take care. Clarissa Miller

Served with Bill in the Marine Corps. Great Guy, just found out about his death. I am truly sorry.

Respectfully sending my deepest condolences to Bill's wife, children and family. I haven't spoken to Bill since 1980 and although I am shocked and sad to learn of his untimely passing, I am so happy to see that he lived such a wonderful life with a loving family and that he lived it to the fullest. May God Bless his beautiful soul and continue to bestow strength and courage to his family. RIP Bill!

Ten years ago God needed someone special to fly through the gates of hell to save a soul. It was you Bill, God needed you to do the job, and you were taken from this life. Whatever soul you saved was vastly important to God, because he called upon you. I have no doubt your mission was successful and God is very pleased with a job well done. I have prayed for you daily since your passing and miss you dearly.

So sorry to send my condolences so late. Thank you for keeping the memory book and photos online. I was a pledge brother with Bill back at Sigma Chi in 1979. I was looking up old friends on line and came across the memorial to Bill. He was a great guy and I am sorry to have missed out on staying in touch over the years. Please accept my deepest sympathy. Joel

Sue,

Just thinking of Bill today and how we miss him; I can't imagine what you all in the family have had to endure. May God's blessings and comfort be with you in this New Year

Dear Sue: I suppose I have resisted writing in Bill's guest bookfor a long time as it would be a final admission that he is indeed gone. I still think about Bill often. I have only a handful of close friends and Bill was one of them and I still miss him terribly. However he still lives on in my heart and mind. My life would not be as nearly as rich if I hadn't had Bill around to create some great times and memories. And congratulations to you as you begin a new chapter as well. Bill...

My Deepest sympathies to your family on the loss Of Bill, I met bill in 9th grade at HPHS, I remember going over to his house with Matt Lavine all the time and lost touch with him when I left for the Navy in 1977, I regret that I never re-connected with him.
Bill as a young adult always lived life with an excitment and gusto. He will be missed.
Sincerely
