My Dad: Forever In My Heart

My Dad was a caring man who loved God, his family, and his church. He grew up in a time when work is what you did. He left Memphis to come to Cleveland, go to work, and help his father to bring his mother and sister together with the two of them.

I remember large family breakfast's prepared by my grandmother for whom I am named "Bettie Eveline." The breakfasts looked like dinner--steak, rice, gravy, biscuits, sausage, preserves, you name it. ...
