Jackson, William E. 78, passed away Saturday, Sept. 16, 2006 in Kansas City, MO while attending funeral services for his brother. He was born March 16, 1928 in Portsmouth, OH, the son of Richard D. and Edna Lillian Hill Jackson. He was a graduate of Notre Dame High School, St. Joseph's College in Indiana, and Ohio State University. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a retired chemical engineer, with his longest tenure at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Corp. He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard "Jack" Denny Jackson Jr. Survivors include two daughters, Kathryn (Edward) Isaacs and Karla Jackson; sisters, Mabel L. Miller, Lora Louise Kemp, both of Reynoldsburg, OH and Brenta V. Childers of Portsmouth, OH, and two grandchildren. In retirement, Bill loved to garden, grow fruit trees, grow grapes and make his own wine, read, work crosswords, hold garage sales, tinker on cars, do chores around the house and grounds for friends and relatives, and engineer things in his everyday life.
