Not sure what to say?

Rev Bill Jackson was our youth pastor at Abington Presbyterian Church near Philadelphia PA when I was in high school in the early 1960's, then the sponsor of our college fellowship until he left Abington in 1970. His spiritual teaching and example set me and several others on a lifetime journey with Christ. Several went on to become pastors themselves. Our many retreats, including work camps in Atlantic City NJ's impoverished north end and at former Camp Fairfield, north of Ligonier PA,...

Bill and I met as freshman at Westminster College and we continued to grow as roommates and as Christian friends. We spent summers working in the kitchen at lake Chautauqua. He taught me how to compete in the shot put and disc and although an injury in high school prevented him from playing football he was a great supporter of all of us on the Titan football team. Dear Vail and family, I am so sorry to hear of Reverend Bill's passing, he was a true man of God. I remember both you and Bill teaching our communicant's class at Abington Presbyterian Church and guiding our class with a gentle but firm belief towards deep faith and reverence for our God. I was just thinking of him last night and wondering how he was doing. Now I know, he is resting in God's arms.

To the Jackson family, So sorry to hear about Bill's passing. He was the minister at Abington Presbyterian Church in PA, which was the same church that my dad's sister and the family were members. It was such a joy to reconnect with him and to share stories. He was a true man of God who could give a great sermon. Peace be to his memory. Pray God's many blessing to you and your family.
