Not sure what to say?

Bill was simply a pleasure to work with and to learn from. He had a big heart, a warm quick smile and words of wisdom and encouragement for everyone he met. He was such a big help and support in my coming to government and in my work in HIV Epidemiology and prevention. His gentle way and his amazing laugh were just two of a very long list of wonderful and endearing qualities. I am so very sad to learn of his passing but am so blessed by having known him. He was such a blessing - my...

Bill blessed every one who had the pleasure of working or conversing with him! His bubbly positive demeanor motivated each of us whom he mentored to give our best effort! He leaves a great legacy! Bill: a gentle yet brilliant man of integrity!!

It was a pleasure meeting Dr. Jenkins while he was working at CDC, his words always spoke volume when I would attend some of his meetings and trainings. He was definitely a staple at CDC. May the Lord gives the Jenkins family strength during this difficult time!

It was such an honor to have the opportunity to hear Dr. Jenkins speak at the Watsonian banquet this past November. Thank you, Sir, for the inspiration and setting the example to an early career professional. My condolences to the family, friends, and those whose lives were touched by your contribution to public health.

I am deeply saddened to hear that Bill is gone. He was a great light in this world and his presence here will continue to be felt. I was tremendously fortunate to meet Bill as he was retiring when I first joined CDC. I benefitted from his mentoring and role modeling, and hope my work reflects his influence. He made a strong and principled impression in conversation, with humor, and made me feel listened to. A truly exceptional human being, and one of the most inspiring persons I have...
