Nelson Funeral Homes - Fessenden Obituary

William John Fogle, 65, of Drake, ND passed away unexpectedly at his home October 31, 2024.  Memorial Service will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are pending with the Nelson Funeral Home of Drake, ND.

William John Fogle was born November 23, 1958 to William Norman and Gloria Jane (Rose) Fogle in Annapolis, MD.  He grew up in Pasadena, MD on the water.  John loved the outdoors; swimming, riding bikes and playing in the woods.  He was educated in Pasadena and finished high school in 1976.  John wanted to be a Marine and honorably served in the United States Marine Corp. from September 1977 to September 1984.  He became a diesel mechanic and loved doing that for many years.  John learned how to operate heavy equipment and that was his love.

John and Dee met in 1976.  He went his way for a short time to return and began to share his life with his wife, Dee, until the present.  John and Dee moved from Maryland to North Dakota in October 1999 and soon after he was employed by CP Railway.  John loved his family and his kids and grandkids meant the world to him.  He also loved his poodles and right now, they are lost as I am.

John is survived by his wife, Dee; children, Jaime (Scott) Simon of Pasadena, MD, Josh Fogle of Indiana and Sarah (Brian) Wurm of Glendive, MT; 8 grandchildren, Alex, Lily, Abby, Ryker, Madi, Charlotte, Brookston and Sheldon; brother, Charles Perry Fogle.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, grandparents and parents.

Not sure what to say?

I remember the first time I rode with John. We were both medics and we got a call "subject on the side of the road" it was on rt 50 at night. The driver went by the patient as I turned to tell the driver to back up I heard the back door of the ambulance open. Yup, John grabbed the medic bag and jumped out of a moving vehicle. When his feet hit the road he did a back flip and when his feet hit the road again he started running. Nothing short of a top notch gymnast. When we were doing our med...

From the day we met, I knew you both were good, loving, caring, God loving people. Heaven received a wonderful man. Lean on God, family, and friends in your time of sorrow. Please, don't hesitate to call on us if you need ANYTHING. Praying for you all, love.

Dee I’m so sorry for your loss sympathy and prayers to you and your family

I am shocked and saddened by this news. Dee, I pray you and your family feel God’s comfort now and in the future. I am glad I got to visit you both even though it was 10 years ago. You made my husband and I feel very welcomed. I’ll remember that visit fondly. My love to you all.
