William J. "Bill" Johnson, Jr., 92, of Mt. Bethel, PA passed away Saturday, May 2nd, 2020, at Slate Belt Health and Rehab. Center, Bangor.
Bill was born in Phillipsburg, NJ on July 21, 1927, a son of the late William J. Johnson, Sr. and Catherine (Condon) Johnson.
He was the husband of the late Margaret E. "Peg" (Hartzell) who passed away in 2014. Bill was employed at Western Electronics Distribution in Belvidere, NJ until retiring. He served in the U.S. Navy during WW II. He was a member of East Stroudsburg American Legion Post 346. Bill enjoyed woodworking and making ornamental lawn cut-outs and taking care of his fruit trees and yard.
Bill is survived by two daughters, Carol Godshalk, wife of Peter and Pauline Fox, wife of Elwood, a son, Donald Pysher, husband of Margaret, 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 24 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter Betty Willi and a sister.
Graveside Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family at Reformed Cemetery in Mt. Bethel, PA. Arrangements have been entrusted to Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., "Village of Johnsonville" Bangor, PA. Online condolences may be offered at www.gaffneyparsons.com.

Will remember him fondly when I see peacocks, miracle grow, radishes, freshly mowed lawn with stripes and the gerbera daisies he planted for the love of his life :Peg. What a great team they made and are now reunited.

Such a sweetheart! Always enjoyed seeing him at the drive up at the bank. He will be missed.
