I will always remember Mr. Johnson as a very generous man and very engaged with the activities of his children and their friends. He gave his time and energy in a fashion that left no doubt to what was important to him. I experienced my first professional baseball game due to his generosity and learned that foul balls were not usually lethal. On a camping trip he surprised me by showing that he played a mean banjo. I was so sad to see this news. Bill Johnson was a bright light in every room he walked into. He was always in a good mood with a kind word for everyone. He brought joy just by being around. One of my fondest teenage memories is spending a ski trip in Vail with the Johnsons, Perrys and Basses. My deepest condolences to his family. We will all miss the joy and light he brought to the world.
