Not sure what to say?

Bill was a friend of my dad (Art Lacey) when they were part of the survey crew. They both came to the Portland area and remained in touch for many years.

I just visited the Tillamook Blimp Hanger this past weekend and walked all through that huge facility. I remembered Bill when I did this and now it is great to get to recognize his life again.

I miss you every day Dad...you were a loving father to the four of us.

I read some advice years ago: "Do your best work, and always be kind." It sounds simple enough, but of course it isn't. Mr. Jonasson personified it, which is rare, indeed.

Bill was skilled gardener and was generous with his leadership in Gabriel Community garden. He helped me plant the Gabriel orchard twenty years ago. Blessings to Bill's family.

I worked with Bill at ESCO from 1976 to his retirement. He was a pleasure to work with and always friendly & upbeat. He will be missed by all his co-workers at ESCO.

Would be honored to attend..just need address, Thanks, Kurt

Please accept my family's sincere sympathy for the loss of Bill. He and my Grandfather were stationed at Tillamook when they were both in the Navy during WW2. Both are excellent examples of the "Greatest Generation" that we should all be proud of. My husband and I were privileged to be welcomed into Bill and Myrtles beautiful home several years ago when my grandfather was in town for a visit. We enjoyed the visit very much and the great memories the two sailors shared during that time. ...

DEAR Myrtle and Family, So sorry to hear about the passing of Bill. He was a great friend of my father (Art Lacey) when they both served with the Geological Survey crew. I had no idea that Bill also served as an aviation metalsmith and at Tillamook. Please come by The Bomber some time so that we can share some stories. Thinking of you. Punky Scott
