Pte Jones was my mission president from 1967-69 in Uruguay..I loved him and learned so much from him and his wonderful, dedicated wife and kids. They were so much fun to have in Uruguay as younsters. Ellie was so gracious and loving. He will be missed by many!

To the whole family, for whom I have such fond memories, Marlene and I send our love and prayers. I still remember meeting you all at the airport in Montevideo as you arrived in 1967 to begin your service there. As the second oldest in a family of 8, I was excited to once again have many young children around in the mission office. I have so many memories of traveling with your Dad to zone conferences around the country and being influenced by his wise counsel. Serving for almost 6 months...

He was my Bishop when I was 8 years old. I remember, to this day, the advice and counsel he gave to this day. He was a tremendous Bishop, Father, Husband, and friend to all. My support is sent with love and respect for him to the whole family. And, Allison, a "hello" to you.
