Not sure what to say?

I miss the annual barbecue at his house. It brought all the retirees together. Of course not many are left.

I lost a good friend and former college and I will miss him dearly. Bill was always ready to help. When I was going thru a divorce he invited me for Thanksgiving. He gave me a promotion. When I got downsized he helped me get a job with Factory Mutual. He was a born leader. They came from near and far to his annual BBQ. He is now with the Lord.

Many years ago a dear friend passed away, and at his funeral Mass, another friend delivered a eulogy that has stuck with me for the past fifty years or so, and if I may, the wording seems to apply to the present.
Death can be compared to the flowering world in that in winter, the plants appear to wither and die, only to be resurrected in the springtime in all their infinite glory of color and life.
Bill Joy is in springtime forever and ever.
