May the memories we have and share with each other of Bill be blessings to his family members and numerous friends. I met Bill Kalt by way of the Arizona Pathfinders, a group of Arizona Historical Society, Tucson Headquarters, members supporting the Society as volunteers, funding reasonable operational supplies, arranging monthly brown bag gatherings featuring guest speakers in the Society's auditorium on various historical topics of Arizona, Southwest USA and, or, northern Mexico, and...

Billy (I don't think I've ever called him "Bill"!) and I grew up next door to each other in Green Hills. Our families did a lot of things together, and I spent lots of fun times at their house. More recently we became FB friends and enjoyed talking about our deep roots in Tucson. He was a kind and gentle man who gave a lot to our community. I will miss him.

I was married to Bill from 1972-1983. Damon (born in 1976) and Ben (born in 1979) got their love of sports from their Dad. From soccer at age 5 to basketball, baseball and golf - they became excellent competitive athletes. Damon and Ben became the passionate, loving and devoted Fathers that they are today largely due to Bill´s example. Bill was also a loving and doting grandfather to their children. Bill was a very impactful, memorable and good man.

Although there was never any doubt about who was in charge, Bill was a kind and patient leader with knack for making things fun for an unruly bunch of boys. The following year, when I entered Palo Verde HS as a freshman, I was not surprised to learn that Bill was one of the anchors of PV´s varsity football team. I loved watching him...
