Not sure what to say?

As a student at the University of Maryland from 1970-74 I had the wonderful good fortune to know and learn from Bill Kane. His caring and healing presence transformed my life and shaped much of my personal and professional life until today. As others have shared, his was a life well-lived and I am forever grateful. Thank-you Bill.

Father, It is been six years since your passing. There isn´t a single day that goes by that I don´t think of you. The influence and impact you made in my life will never be matched and I will never forget you, NEVER. Continue to rest peacefully until we meet again. I love you.

Mgr Kane changed my life forever and I owe him my life.
I first met Mgr Kane in 2004 as he was my English teacher at the catholic school on 16th street in Washington DC. He was volunteering teaching English to immigrants like myself, every night. I could not speak a word of English when I started the program. Mgr Kane thought I was one of his smartest students and that is how we connected. Dear “Uncle Bill” (to our family) is never gone from our thoughts or our hearts. I miss him still and wish I could call him. May you be dancing in eternity, Bill. You are never ever forgotten, dearest friend.

You were truly loved by many I loved you very much the most inspiring person I have ever known Rest In Peace

One of many family times with Bill

Father Bill Kane was a big part of our family history. We all loved him very much and will miss him very much. He married us, baptized our three children, married our daughter and her husband, and baptized their four children. He was Godfather to one of our children who is named after him and one of our grandchildren is named William after him. Bill was always there to advise us and comfort us and council us. Bill was always there and present during hard and happy times. He always showed up...

I met Monsignor Kane @ the funeral of his sister two years ago. I was so taken by what he spoke of at that mass; his words inspired me. I truly would have been a regular church-goer if he had been serving here on the North Shore of Boston. What a truly gentle, generous, kind & scholarly man of God.

I was so lucky to attend St. Bartholomew Elementary School and the University of Maryland when Father Kane was there. What a wonderful person; I am so glad to have known him.
