Not sure what to say?

I don't like this date. I like thinking of the living Bill. I was fortunate just to know him, let alone have him for a brother. He was open. No subject was taboo. I could talk to him about "anything" and continue to learn more about him, as I slowly read his book. This brotherly relationship continues despite this date.

I only remember his birth-date, but knew this date was close. Usually forget dreams, but had one with Bill in it last night and told Mia about it this AM. Then looked at calendar and saw it was 1 month after his birthday.

I remember well the night in February, 1974, when Bill Kelleher came to view and rent the first floor apartment at 73 Montebello Rd., Jamaica Plain, for himself and Dennis. At that time, he was taking a year off from the University of Massachusetts to work at I believe a supermarket in Brighton where he subsequently suffered a cut.
There are few people who come to rent apartments that stand out across the years. Bill Kelleher was one of those. My initial impression was that he reflected...

Professor Kelleher "Bill" was such a great professor. I'm so sad to hear of his passing away as he truly was a gifted educator. He was very passionate about his work, but had a natural way of teaching. I still remember when I had class with his as a freshmen and then again senior year, he always had a calm and thought provoking manner for encouraging classroom discussion. My deepest condolences to his family.

You will be missed.

Dearest Jo, I met Bill, but didn't know him well, but it is a great loss for you and the girls. I'll life you up in prayer.

Dear Jo:

I Googled you today to get your address to send a holiday card, and this is what I found.

I'm so terribly sorry.

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you ever feel that I can be of any help. I'll try again to reach you.

In sadness,

On behalf of the Irish American Unity Conference, our condolences on Bill's loss, as well as our admiration for his distinguished career, and his work on society in Northern Ireland.

I took many classes with Prof. Kelleher at SU and enjoyed all of them. He was the reason I decided to minor in Anthropology. More than that, Bill was my friend and always took time out to meet with me, even if just to chat about how class was going. I met with him for the last time in 2011 before I graduated and he was so excited to hear about all my plans for the future. I always intended to make it back to Syracuse and pay him a visit but it didn't work out like that. My deepest condolences...

I have read each of these tributes to my brother, Bill, and I think he would pay tribute to his daughters Susan and Kathleen and to the rest of us that helped him to a limited degree in his final weeks and days. But on Bill's behalf, I want to pay tribute to his wife, Jo. Whenever I called Bill, he would say "we are doing alright," rather than saying "I am doing alright." He hardly ever spoke of himself. It was always about Jo and himself. And the reason was because Jo never left his side and...
