To the Bill Kerfin Family: It was a pleasure to know Bill he had this knack to get you involved in his pet projects, however his projects almost always involved Law Enforcement and the helping of the less fortunate, he was truly a great guy.

As the days & weeks pass & as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love & support of family & friends. Our Lord sends His Spirit to be with us all at these difficult times. Lean on Him.

Deepest sympathy to the family and the many friends of Bill. Considering he was constantly attending police meetings throughout Illinois, I was fortunate to have been with him at two of them just last week. He will be especially missed by the Illinois Police Association, for which he worked tirelessly. May his personal kindness and charity toward all be rewarded in heaven.---Terry Hodges, IPA South Division

I recently found my uncle bill after not knowing him. We have been talking on the phone for 2 years and were planning a reunion in oct. i am so sad we never got to meet in person. I hope he is now telling my dad (robert) all about me. But i will miss our phone calls and emails.

I worked with LT. Kerfin for many years. One thing that stood out was his firm handshake. He always had a new joke to tell. Stateville will never have another LT. Kerfin. Deepest sympathy to the family.
