I worked with Bill in the External Tank Project, Shuttle Projects Office at NASA. We had many a lively conversation. He seemed to enjoy life and his coworkers. My sympathy to his family. He talked often with pride about his son and daughter. One particular thing I remember because it was so funny to me. I have five sons who grew up when teen aged boys let their hair grow long. I worked with Bill in the Facility Engineers Ofc. at Brookley AFB, Mobile, AL in 1959/60. We rode to Huntsville together in the spring of 1960 looking for a job at Redstone Arsenal. My sympathy to the family.
