Not sure what to say?

I already miss him as a neighbor. He always had good advice and stories to share. The neighborhood feels a little empty without both Bill & Helen next door! Your family is in our prayers.

Helen and family, my sincere sympathy for the loss of a dear man whom I cared for deeply and had the utmost respect for. I feel blessed to have known and shared time with someone so very special. He will truly be missed. Helen my heart is very heavy for you. I will always be here for you......

It was my privilege to know Bill and have him as a friend and patient. I was honored that he shared many stories of his experiences with me. The world is a better place because of Bill and people like him. My deepest sympathy goes to his wife Helen and his family.DONALD W. LYDDON,JR.,M.D.

Bill was our friend for 41 years. Helen and family, we are sad with you. We loved him too.

I am honored to have known this fine man, this true American hero. Bill was always willing to use his experiences in WWII to teach young people, many of whom were my students, of the true cost of freedom. Bill saw the very worst of war, and his reflections had a profound impact on many of my students. For all of his life, Bill remained a patriotic supporter of the American values for which he fought. May we prove worthy of his sacrifices. Rest in peace, Bill. Penelope A. Blake, Ph.D.

Helen, I am so sorry for your loss!! Bill will forever be missed!! He was a very nice man and a wonderful person! I will always remember seeing you and Bill when Erin and I go to Magic Waters! those are great memories that I will keep! my deepest sympathy to the Kunz family!!

As we remember Grandpa, many memories come to mind. Some of my favorites are the times spent reading together and his love of books. Thumbing through one of the many books he had given me over the years, I found a passage he had written in the back quoting Kipling's Recessional:

"The tumult and the shouting dies;
The captains and the kings depart;
Still stands thine ancient sacrifice,
An humble and a contrite heart."

Missing you more than words can...
