William Martin "Bill" Laffoon William Martin "Bill" Laffoon, 57, of Russellville, Arkansas, died Sunday, May 1, 2005 at his home. He was born December 18, 1947 in Russellville to William "Bill" and Evelyn Lucille "Edwards" Laffoon. He married Sherry "Dane" on March 1, 1974. He was a United States Navy Veteran. A Diesel Mechanic at Bibler's Lumber Company, a member of the Poor Boys Bass Club; and a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church in Russellville. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife Sherry of the home; two sons, John Laffoon & wife Marcia of Lowell, Eric Laffoon & wife Christi of Russellville; one daughter, Peyton Walker & husband Kennith of Wylie, Texas; four grandchildren, Jacob Walker, Brooks Ann Laffoon, Rachael Laffoon and Ross Laffoon; one sister, Wilma Hayes & husband Earl of Knoxville, Arkansas; and a step-mother Stella Laffoon of Russellville.

Funeral will be at 2:00p.m. Thursday, May 5, 2005 at First Free Will Baptist Church of Russellville with the Dr. Kevin Riggs and Pastor Ron Chenault Officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery in Dover, AR by Humphrey Funeral Service of Russellville. Visitation will be 6:00p.m.-8:00p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Pope County Hospice, 203 Weir Road, Russellville, Ar. 72801.

Peyton, my sincerest condolences on the passing of your father. He will be missed and memories of him cherished by all whose lives he enriched. I fondly remembered the Christmas when your family shared Christmas dinner with me at Bill's house when I was unable to go home for the holidays. Thank you, Peyton, for having such a wonderful father and family.
