Not sure what to say?

On Bill's 10th anniversary, here is a memory for you. I worked as a technician @IFAS with Bill as my manager. One day I was tasked to set up a new terminal (for the school's mini computer). To test the connection Bill typed this message to me: "Mr. Watson. Come Here. I need you." I worked for Bill years ago as a technician at IFAS (while attending UF).
Bill was kind, was my mentor as he taught me the ropes.
I recall many memories including Jay Leno being his favourtite comedian (After Jay's hosting of a UF homecoming game).
This morning I wanted to drop a line to say hello to him and saw the news. I'm very sad.

My (late) condolences to the family. Will always remember him as a kind and funny guy.

I am saddened to hear of Bill's passing; it has been a few years since we last spoke. (He had come to Fort Pierce to get our Center on the UF network along with Chris and Mike many years ago.) I am glad to have crossed paths with Bill; his dry humor was a change of pace. My heart and prayers go to his family.
Sincerely,

I am truly saddened to hear of Bill's passing. His dry wit was something I'll never forget. Sometimes I'd get the punch line much later. Rest in Peace Bill.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Bill's passing. I will keep his family in my thoughts and prayers.
