I worked with Bill for about 16 years and he had a rare quality that a good leader has - He wouldn't ask you to do anything that he wouldn't do himself. He was very supportive and fun to work with. He told it like it was. His conversations on the radio were legendary. A very funny guy. Always ribbing everyone. He dished it and could take it. I met Billy while he was helping his brother John out at John's Auto Repair Shop in Chicopee, "Auto - Test World". Billy drove me home a couple of times when I dropped by car off for service/repair. During those drives we talked and got to know each other, even if briefly. Being both Navy vets, we had something in common. He seemed to be such a nice guy. Condolences, thoughts and prayers to all of his family. A real shame cancer ended his playing hand so early in his life. "Sail on...

First I want to offer my condolences to Bill´s family for your loss. Your husband ,dad, brother, son, uncle was a great guy !!! I grew up with him in spfld and had the good fortune to work with him in Connecticut at the prisons. He was a no nonsense man who took no crap from anyone! He was a loyal man to his family and friends..... I know this first hand, multiple decades of friendship showed me that.... He will be missed but never forgotten......I will say a prayer for you and your loved...
